Seven-Day Rohatsu Sesshin
November 28 - December 5, 2010
Sunday 3 pm - Sunday 2 pm
led by Eijun Linda Ruth Cutts

Sesshins are traditional Soto Zen meditation retreats that include formal zendo meals, Dharma talks, sitting and walking meditation, and private interviews with senior teachers. In order to understand the nature of our formal retreats, and to be clear about the details of the practice, please review a typical sesshin schedule, as well as our guidelines for zendo conduct. We ask those who attend sesshin to commit to following these guidelines and to participating in the schedule completely. If you have questions regarding the schedule or guidelines, please consult with the head of the meditation hall, the ino, via email before completing your registration.

If you have not participated in a San Francisco Zen Center sesshin before, please also communicate with the ino before signing up. Prerequisite: at least one and preferably two one-day sittings at Green Gulch or City Center.

Orientation will be at 3 pm and oryoki instruction (use of eating bowls) will be at 4:30 pm on the first Sunday of the sesshin.

Fee: $525, $472.50 current members. (We offer a few partial scholarships for people with limited income. Please call the main office for details.)

To register for sesshin by credit card, call the office at 415.383.3134. To register by check, please print and fill out a sesshin registration form from our website (www.sfzc.org) and mail it to Green Gulch Farm with full payment.
