Guest accommodation at Tassajara range from private cabins to shared dorms. Scroll down to see the various options including rates.

As there is no electricity in our guest rooms, kerosene lamps are used for light. Bathing facilities are in the bathhouse, and all cabins and rooms have a private toilet and sink except as noted.

Stone Rooms

Built around the turn of the century and renovated in 1989, the Stone Rooms have thick stone walls, wood stoves, and decks along the creek. The Stone Suite is two rooms joined by a bathroom and has a minimum occupancy of four and maximum occupancy of six.

Pine Rooms

The Pine Rooms were built in the early 1900s and have wood stoves, pine floors, and back decks that border the creek. These rooms accommodate two to four people.

Cabin 14B and Cabin 15

Cabins 14B and 15 have hardwood floors, hot water heat and private decks on the creek.

Yurts

The Yurts have a redwood exterior, hardwood floors and decks. The beds can be set up as two singles or a king. An adult guest, or one or two small children, can easily be added.

Cabin 14A

Cabin 14A has hardwood floors, hot water heat and a private deck. It is very similar to Cabin 14B, but does not overlook the creek.

Redwood Tatami Cabins

Tatami mats are made out of thickly woven rush grass and are inlaid into the floor. They are traditional in Japan. All cabins in this style feature shikibutons (foam mattresses) which can be folded up during the day and laid out in the evening. These cabins can accommodate an extra guest.

Redwood Cabins and Courtyard Rooms (with shared bathroom)

The Redwood cabins share a bathroom and can each be arranged as three single beds or a double plus a single.

The Courtyard building sits next to the creek and has a long deck that leads around the back to shared bathroom facilities located on one side. Each room has its own sink inside. These rooms have double beds only.

Dorms (with shared bathroom)

Women's dorm: Redwood Cabin 7 and 8  consist of two large rooms joined by a bathroom. There are three beds in each room.

Men's dorm: A courtyard room with two beds serves as the men's dorm.

Dorm space may be shared by regular guests and workshop participants.
