One-day sittings offer traditional Soto Zen all-day meditation practice. Formal oryoki meals are served in the zendo. Please call or sign up in the office by the Wednesday before each sitting. If this is your first one-day sitting, please attend the oryoki instruction at 5:00 pm and orientation at 7:30 pm on Friday.
Sesshin means to collect the heart/mind. We spend 3, 5 or 7 days meditating, eating, and working in silence, devoting every aspect of the day to the realization of the Buddha way. All sesshin meals are served and taken in the traditional oryoki style. Please register in the office at least a week before the sesshin begins.
